We've done a lot in the last 20 years, supporting Kiwi SMEs and growing our offerings as business needs changed. In 2004 we started our journey as SmartPayroll offering simple payroll software to help you pay your people accurately, on time and in line with legislation.

Fast forward to 2020, and we teamed up with Datacom, New Zealand’s largest IT company. Giving us the opportunity to leverage Datacom’s strengths in legislative compliance, data security and software development.

Then, in 2022 we became Smartly, the payroll and people management software that 22,000 Kiwi businesses know and trust. Giving Kiwi SMEs the tools they need to make complex, time-consuming tasks simple.
