Useful reports for end of financial year

As the end of financial year approaches, it is a good idea to review your payroll to make sure all information are up-to-date. You may find the following reports handy.

Employee card report

The Employee card report provides information about your employees that are captured in their Employee details and Employee payments sections. This includes details, such as, when they started, whether they're full or part-time, what they're getting paid. This is an especially useful report if you need to check which employees need their wages updated on 1 April. 

This report is available as a PDF and CSV. Please note the CSV version is more comprehensive.

To access the Employee card report, please:

1. Hover over Reports, and click Report generator.

2. Choose "Employee" as the category and then click "Employee card".

3. If you want to include terminated employees in the report, tick "Include terminated employees".

4. Click either Download CSV or Generate PDF

Year to date earnings report

The Year to date earnings report displays employees' data as a “Certificate Of Earnings”. 

To access this report, please:

1. Hover over Reports, and click Report generator.

2. Choose "Payroll" as the category and then click "YTD earnings".

3. Enter in your filters.

4. Click either Download CSV or Generate PDF

63 day holiday report

The 63 day holiday report shows all earned and taken annual leave including any adjustments that have been made. The weeks value shown for annual leave paid in advance, are based on the weeks value calculated at the time of payment. This is a specialised report that often accountants would use. If you simply want a leave liability report, the Leave balances report would be better. 

To access the 63 day holiday report, please:

1. Hover over Reports, and click Report generator.

2. Choose "Leave" as the category and then click "63 day holiday".

3. Enter in your filters. The date range that your accountant would usually need would be 1 April of the current year to 2 June of the current year. 

4. Click either Download CSV or Generate PDF

Leave balances report

The Leave balances report shows all leave balances for each employee broken down by paygroup and department/job. 

To access this report, please:

1. Hover over Reports, and click Report generator.

2. Choose "Leave" as the category and then click "Leave balances".

3. Enter in your filters. 

4. Click either Download CSV or Generate PDF

Company controls report

The Company controls report shows a summary of all payments and deductions for your selected pay period. It also includes the IR345/346 (PAYE Payment information), staff turnover and holiday liability value.

To access this report, please:

1. Hover over Reports, and click Report generator.

2. Choose "Organisation" as the category and then click "Company controls".

3. Enter in your filters. 

4. Click either Generate PDF
