How to download a bank file
If you have opted not to link your bank account to your Smartly site for payroll processing, you can still download the bank file of your pay run to upload to your bank. This way, you would not have to enter each of your employees' net pays one by one in your online banking.
To configure the bank file:
1. Configure the settings by going to Settings > Company settings.
2. Under Direct Credit Schedule Options, you should see "We will look after our own Direct Credit Schedule and require files for" selected.
3. Change "Manual Schedule" to the bank you bank with, eg. ANZ Direct.
4. Click Save.
You would only need to reconfigure the bank file settings if you were to change banks.
To download the bank file:
1. After you have processed your pay run, click Reports and then Pay period report.
2. Make sure you are in the right pay group, and then click the pay run you want the bank file for.
3. Click Bank file.
A file will download to your computer.
To upload the bank file:
Uploading methods vary from bank to bank. Please contact your bank for advice on how to upload a bank file.
