These Smartly Beta Group Terms and Conditions supplement and are in additionto the Smartly terms of use

1. Purpose of Beta Testing

The purpose of Smartly’s Beta Group is to review and test new software features or product improvements which have not yet been made generally available to our customers (“Pre-Release Functionality”).

2. Future Charges

While the Pre-Release Functionality is currently provided to you free of charge as part of the Beta Group, please note that we reserve the right to introduce charges for use of the features in future. Any decision to implement charges for such Pre-Release Functionality will be communicated to you in advance, and you will have the option to accept or decline such charges before they come into effect.

3. Feedback and Reporting

You agree to actively engage and provide meaningful feedback during your participationin the Beta Group. The information you provide in Beta Group surveys and in any engagement or communication with Smartly is accurate and true, to the best of your knowledge and given in good faith.

You license Smartly to freely use the feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide, including publishing it in promotional or marketing material, without any obligation or compensation to you. Any intellectual property created out of this process is automatically assigned in full to Smartly.

4. Confidentiality and Privacy

You agree to participate in the Beta Group, and the information you learn or share with Smartly, as a tester is confidential between us and cannot be disclosed or shared publicly, including on social media, without our prior consent.

You understand and agree to the information and data we collect from you, only being used for designing and developing Smartly features and related product or app enhancements. We will securely store this data for future reference, and any personal information in accordance with the obligations set out in our privacy policy published onour website at www.Smartly.co.nz/privacy-policy.

5. Limitations and Disclaimer

You understand that any access to such Pre-Release Functionality is provided solely “as is” for evaluation purposes during the test period. You acknowledge that Pre-Release Functionality may not be in final form and may contain errors or bugs.

To the extent permitted by law, Smartly excludes all warranties with respect to Pre-Release Functionality, and does not guarantee that the features will be commercially released.

6. Terminations

Signing up for the Beta Group does not obligate us to provide you with the Beta version of the features, and we reserve the right to revoke your participation in the group at any time and without cause.

You can opt out and not participate in the Beta Group at any time by emailing us, and our reply will confirm the Group ending. Alternatively, we will inform you by email when the Beta Group ends.

Community forum code of conduct

By joining our online community forum, you must agree to follow the below code of conduct.

Do not share any personal information

The purpose of the online community is to support the beta group with new features as they become available. When posting questions or feedback in the forum, it's important for your own privacy and security that you don't share any personal information from within your payroll site. If you do need to share personal information, we ask that you email us at our secure email address: beta@smartly.co.nz.

Be respectful and considerate

Whether you are posting, commenting on a post, or joining an online session, we ask that you are respectful of members opinions, viewpoints and experiences.

Use welcoming and inclusive language

It's important that all our members feel heard and valued, so we ask that you use welcoming and inclusive language that helps to make our community a place where everyone feels included and accepted.

No spam or self-promotion

Our community is a place to discuss and get support on Smartly's beta features. Therefore, our members are no permitted to post any spam, self-promotion, or any other form of unauthorized advertising within the community.

No illegal activity

We ask that our members do not engage in any illegal activity in the community forum. This includes posting any copyrighted material, disturbing malware, or engaging in any other illegal activity.

Stay on-topic

It's important that all discussions are kept relevant to Smartly and it's beta features. Any discussions that are off topic may be redirected or removed to maintain focus.

Reporting guidelines

If you become aware of any members who are in violation of Smartly's community code of conduct, please send an email to: beta@smartly.co.nz. Where possible, please include proof of the violation e.g. screenshot.
