How does the price per employee per month model work for People Management?
We count an employee as active for billing purposes if:
- Their employee setup has been completed in Smartly, and
- They haven’t been terminated in the system.
Even if someone only worked one day in the month, they’ll still be counted as active for that month.
What does “completed” mean?
This means their employee profile has been fully set up using Smartly’s setup wizard. If setup isn’t finished, they won’t have access to People Management features, and won’t be counted in your billing.
What does “terminated” mean?
An employee is considered terminated within People Management when either:
- They have a set termination date in the system, or
- When their final pay is processed
An employee who has a set termination date in the system will still have access to People Management in read-only mode until their final pay is processed.
