People Management works alongside Smartly Payroll, so the starting point depends on whether you're already with us. If you're new to Smartly, you'll set up a payroll plan first and People Management switches on from there. If you're already on Smartly Payroll, we'll add it to your existing account.
Setting up means adding your company documents and policies, choosing the tasks and reminders you want tracked, and inviting your team to the app. You can do it in stages rather than all at once, and we'll guide you through it with ready-made templates for the parts most businesses need.
Employees can reach their own employee files and their assigned tasks from the Smartly mobile app. They can search for a file, open it, and save or share it from their device, and a task arrives with a notification they can action on the spot. The same permissions apply on a phone as on the web, so an employee only ever sees their own. Setting files up and assigning tasks stays in the web app.
