What is a beta group?

A beta group is a group of customers who get early access to a product or service to test it out and provide feedback on the usability and functionality. Beta group members report on what works and what doesn't work in a new product or release.

How do I join the beta group?

Scroll up to the sign-up form on this page, fill in the information and submit the form. You’ll receive an email from us with next steps once the form is completed. 

Why are Smartly recruiting a beta group?

We are in the very early stages of building a new product module that sorts all the people admin for our customers. But we need help, our goal is to build all the features that small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) need, and nothing they don’t. So, it’s important that the SME voice is heard.

Are there any fees to join the beta group?

There are no fees to join the beta group right now. In future we may decide to introduce fees when we launch these features to market, however we will communicate this with you in advance and you will have the option to accept or decline. 

Will my data be safe?

Yes! The data we collect from you will only be used for designing and developing Smartly features and related product or app enhancements. We will securely store your data for future reference, and any personal information in accordance with the obligations set out in our privacy policy published on our website at www.smartly.co.nz/privacy-policy.

How much feedback do I need to give, and how do I provide it?

During your participation in the beta group, you must agree to providing feedback. To collect feedback, we’ll be using a combination of an online community forum, online surveys, and online focus sessions. We will communicate with you in the forum when we need you to provide feedback. 

How will you keep in touch with me about the beta group?

We’ve created an online community forum that’s just for our beta group. The forum will be used for day-to-day communication, support, and discussions about the beta features. We may send the occasional email from time-to-time, but we will mostly keep in touch with you through the community forum. 

How do I leave the beta group?

You can opt out and stop participating in the beta group at any time by emailing us on beta@smartly.co.nz. We will confirm this by responding to your email. If we decide to close down the beta group, we will inform you by email.
