Managing your team is simple with Smartly. Approve or decline leave through the Smartly app or browser. Great for larger teams – it’s all in one place to keep it quick and efficient.
Managing leave has never been easier. Team members can apply for leave and see when it’s been approved all from their app. Plus, your team can even see what their leave balance will be for a future leave request – say booking leave for Christmas.
Hassle-free payslips for your employees with access at any time! View the last 3 months on mobile or your entire history on browser. You can also download and email payslips on browser.
Timesheeting self-service with Smartly is easy. Edit timesheets, save them as drafts and continue to edit them until submitted. You can add individual entries for each day and submit them for approval or wait until the end of a period. Do it all from your app or browser.
Employees can easily assign cost codes for individual pays and cost allowances, split costs across jobs and more!

If your business has people working on multiple jobs or you’ve got teams working across departments, we’ve got you sorted. Employees can log hours by job or department and have them flow through to payroll (and Xero if you like). All correctly coded for you to run some sweet reports.

How it works
Smartly gives you the flexibility to set up your unique costing structure with departments and jobs to best suit you. Add new projects when they start, and amend or remove them when they change.
If you have busy people on the job and you need to quickly get some costing through for a pay run, this feature lets you do just that. Managers can draft, edit and submit timesheets by department or job on behalf of their team.
Do you have some employees that spend most of their time on the same job or department? Avoid manual allocations and create a home department where cost allocations can be set up to go to by default.
Run reports as often as you need to see a breakdown of how much money was spent across your business’s different departments and jobs. The report can easily be exported and breaks each payment down to give you everything you need to know about your labour costs.
